LOCA Wins Best Hospitality and Best Fintech Startup Awards at National Startup Fest 2026
I am proud and happy to share that our LOCA team received two meaningful awards at National Startup Fest 2026 on 24 April 2026:
- LOCA Taxi — Best Hospitality Startup Award
- LOCA Pay — Best Fintech Startup Award
This is a special moment for the team, and for me personally as someone working at LOCA. Awards are not the only reason we build, but they are meaningful recognition of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork behind products that serve real customers every day.

The Two Awards
LOCA Taxi received the Best Hospitality Startup Award. This recognition highlights the role of our ride-hailing service in supporting travel, tourism, hospitality, and everyday mobility in Laos.
For many visitors, transportation is one of the first practical experiences they have in a country. A reliable local ride-hailing product helps make that experience easier, clearer, and more trusted. That matters for customers, drivers, tourism businesses, and the broader hospitality ecosystem.

LOCA Pay received the Best Fintech Startup Award. This reflects the team's effort to make digital payment and financial services more accessible, useful, and trusted for people and businesses in Laos.
Digital payment is not only about technology. It is about confidence, convenience, and building habits that make daily transactions easier. For Laos, stronger local fintech products can help more people and businesses participate in the digital economy.

Why This Matters
These awards are meaningful because they reflect product work that connects directly to real needs.
LOCA Taxi supports mobility, tourism, and hospitality by helping people move around Laos with more confidence. LOCA Pay supports digital finance by making payments more practical and accessible. Together, these products show how local technology can solve local problems while also improving how people experience the country.
Behind every award are many small decisions: improving reliability, listening to customer feedback, supporting operations, solving technical issues, and keeping the product useful in real situations. That kind of work is not always visible from the outside, but it is what makes a product stronger over time.
A Personal Reflection
As the Product Development Lead at LOCA, I feel proud to be part of a team that keeps turning customer needs into useful product improvements. This achievement belongs to many people across the company: product, engineering, operations, support, business, partners, and everyone who helps move the work forward.
It also reminds me why product development matters. The small improvements we make in reliability, usability, trust, and daily operations can become part of how people experience Laos.
For me, this moment is both a celebration and a reminder. It shows that the work matters, but it also motivates us to keep improving. Good products are never finished. They need constant care, better execution, and a clear understanding of the people they serve.
A Contribution To Laos
These achievements are not only company milestones. They are also meaningful contributions to Laos.
When local technology products become stronger, they help represent Laos better to the world. LOCA's work connects with tourism, hospitality, mobility, digital payment, and the wider digital economy. Each improvement helps make Laos more visible and more accessible to people from around the world.
That is one reason this recognition feels important. It is not only about winning awards. It is about showing that teams in Laos can build serious, useful, and trusted products.
